Lands ↔ Memory ↔ Waters
Drawing from investigations into the Hidroituango megadam on Colombia’s Cauca River, Ifor Duncan explores water as both witness and archive. Through layered video recordings, underwater footage, and testimonies from communities, scientists, lawyers, and forensic specialists, his work follows the river as a space where ecological violence and collective memory continue to circulate.
Roberta Di Cosmo and Matilde Patuelli also work closely with extractive landscapes that carry histories of trauma and transformation. Inspired by Gilles Clément’s idea of the “third landscape” — abandoned or marginal spaces left outside systems of control and productivity — they explore how damaged territories can still hold possibilities for relation, care, and imagination. Through participatory and sensory exercises, their practice invites participants to encounter landscapes bodily and collectively, paying attention to flows, residues, what remains, what changes, and what new forms of belonging can emerge.
Participants from all backgrounds are warmly invited to join and take part in collective hands-on exercises.
